Making Dough 2x

On Tuesday night I will be attending a class at the Boston Center for Adult Education that I was so excited to go to. I love attending classes at BCAE! I’ve taken a cooking class, cheese making class, and a dancing class (for our surprise date nights!).

The class is called “Passion Turned Paycheck: A Night With Nella Pasta”. It is about friends Rachel & Leigh’s process of turning their passion for fresh made pasta into their business called Nella Pasta.

Check out the class description:

Want to ditch the day-job drudgery to follow your dream? Start by spending the evening with two Bostonians who did just that! Tired of not being challenged at their desk jobs, friends Rachel and Leigh began to look for a way out. Both life-long foodies, they discovered a shared passion for fresh pasta and local ingredients. It was from this passion that Nella Pasta was born, and two years later, they’re thriving. Class will begin with some foodie fun –a sampling of Nella’s raviolis! After everyone has had their fill, the girls will lead you through the Nella narrative and invite you to analyze your own yet to be born businesses. Class will discuss the entrepreneurial “itch”, perform preliminary SWOT analyses, assemble a plan of action, and analyze opportunities for future growth. Join Nella Pasta and get the inspiration and knowledge you’ll need to turn your dreams into your job!

I am so looking forward to this as I love hearing stories from people who have turned their interests into a career. When I was at Spark #3 I got to meet the fantastic Amy Tan who created the Amy Tangerine brand of hand embellished clothing (made in the USA!) which has continued on to crafting supplies for scrapbooking. It is stories like Amy’s and Rachel & Leigh’s that interest me so much. Plus getting to try some of Nella’s ravs is a great part of it as well!

I hope you’ll join me and sign up too! Just let me know and maybe we can grab a drink afterwards too!
