look closely at Emily’s hat… exact hat the Mad Hatter wears.
Our friend Essa organized a group of us to see Alice in Wonderland in 3d on an IMAX screen and then go out to dinner afterwards. Luckily the movie was good and we had fun without becoming “that” table at dinner. Maybe because it was a Sunday night in Natick and not a Friday night in Boston. So our waitress got lucky without getting a nickname and there were no thrown beers at each other. (Beer and leather bags don’t mix)
I was a bit afraid that I would not like the movie because I’m not a big fan of Johnny Depp. Why you ask? Because he plays a dirty crazy character in just about every movie… All Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Sweeny Todd, Sleepy Hallow, etc. I really liked him in Finding Netherland- not dirty crazy man.
Well I liked Johnny Depp- shocking- and just about everything else with the movie. Johnny Depp was the perfect amount of touched in the head. Plus how can you resist the futterwacken dance at the end of the movie? Head spinning 360? Sure! Flapping feet? Sure! I don’t think it needs to be seen in 3d but it was still fun. The best part of the 3d was when Alice was falling down the hole. Price was not that into seeing it, with the exception of getting to see Anne Hathway on IMAX. ahh crush.
I just loved the White Rabbit and the March Hare. That little White Rabbit! Too cute in his blue coat and pocket watch!!
