How Martha Were You?
I finally felt in sync with the kitchen. There are lots of changes to get used to… smaller layout, less counter space, a window allowing natural light in, a gas stove, etc. I finally got to spend the weekend cooking and prepping for the week. I was so excited to borrow Olena’s lens that I felt the need to cook even more so I would be able to prepare a lot of blog posts because I would have plenty of photos.
The apartment is coming along. Every time I feel we make progress we uncover more stuff to be done. I am enjoying the process but it makes me want to throw everything out. I know I would not do that and would regret it but I have too much damn stuff for my own good.
Friday Night-
Spotted this guy on the T… Man this guy sure loves Apple!
Stopped off for some beer on our way home.
Went food shopping at Whole Foods, went for a few things and ending up spending $80. damn you WF!!
Enjoyed the best $12 I spent in a long time. Love sunflowers!
Made hot dogs for dinner, had them with potato salad
Pitted 1 pound of cherries
Saturday-
up early to get to Haymarket. Met Lena for some shopping together
Dropped Lena off, went to The Meat House and Trader Joes before finally getting back home
Made breakfast sandwiches for Price and myself. I had a beer with my breakfast sandwich. Highly enjoyable.
Got to work in the kitchen:
– cut up watermelon
– made salsa
– cut up veggies for Sunday dinner stir fry
– sooo many dishes and photos(!!!) with Olena’s lens she let me borrow 🙂
Made ‘Mexican hot dogs’ for lunch. Gluten free buns suck
Watched Knight and Day
We went to Home Depot and then Whole Foods (AGAIN!)
Made caprese salad for us for dinner.
Price and I watched NASCAR race
I made watermelon sorbet
Before going to bed I did some reading. Really hooked on the first Sookie Stackhouse book. flying through it!
Sunday-
slept in until 9. oo wicked
Made breakfast for Price, I was not hungry
Played around on the computer… blog post, scheduling tweets for HRN, pinning, reading emails
12pm massage that I almost missed
Made chicken salad for lunch and lunch for the week
Price left for work so I started cleaning, unpacked more boxes, organized wine, mopped floor, put down the new rug, hung curtains back up.
Watched most of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. I love Shia Lebouf.
Worked on blog icons… didn’t order business cards like I planned. DAMN!
Started dinner, Price got home (finally!) and he helped me make dinner while I unloaded the dishwasher. We had a picnic on the floor since I didn’t clear off the table from unpacking boxes
After dinner, I cleaned the rabbits cage, helped take out the trash, showered, and played around on pinterest.
Bed by 12.30am.
