I wanted to take on the challenge of making a pie for every Friday in 2014. Pie Day Friday!
It was so much fun to have this challenge as it made me make a bunch of fun and yummy pies. Plus, I learned so much in the process.
Honestly, I was really intimated in making pie crusts when I first set out doing The Year of Pies, but in the end I felt like an old pro. I can whip up a pie crust now with no problem. Sure, pre-made refrigerated pie crust is great when you’re in a real time crunch but I’ve really fallen in love with homemade crust. But no bake crusts like cookie and graham cracker crusts are pretty cool too.
Even after making so many pies I still want to make more!!! They are just so dang good. I swear that you’ll be a pie believer once you try one of these guys. xo
