Ingredients
  • 1 pound leanĀ ground turkey
  • 6 ounce can tomato paste
  • 1 Cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 Cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 15.5 ounce canĀ black beans drained
  • 1 15.5 ounce can red beans drained
  • 1 14.5 ounce can chopped tomatoes
  • 4 ounce can of green chilies
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons chili powder
  • 3 Tablespoons cumin
  • 2 Tablespoons cayenne powder
  • 1 Tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup of beer, broth, or water
Instructions
  1. Place ground turkey and tomato paste into the bowl of a 6-8 quart slow cooker. Combine and break up the turkey with a wooden spoon.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
  3. Place the lid on the slow cooker and set to low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  4. Serve hot with sides such as cornbread, baked potato, rice. Garnish with sour cream, jalapenos, cheese, hot sauce, chopped scallions.
