I’m Nicole, but you can call me Nic. Call me Nicki and you are going to be ignored. It’s just the way it goes.
I am a mom, wife, lover of boston terriers, rabbits, Sperry’s, glasses, chocolate chip cookies, and spin classes. My 9-5 has me designing at an international architecture firm. I love details and construction. When not slaving over drawings or harassing contractors, I cook, bake, get lost in wanderlusty day dreams, design my perfect pantry, and spend too much time on the internet.
Taking on challenges is my idea of fun so I have been doing yearly recipe challenges when I do a weekly post based on a theme. I have done everything from Taco Tuesday to Waffle Wednesday. It’s fun to be so creative.
Additionally, I share about my 18 month 65 pound weight loss experience. I work hard at maintaining it while living a fun, active life that includes wine and chocolate chip cookies.
I grew up in Connecticut, then moved to Boston, MA for college and stayed for 12+ years since I met my husband in class and got a dream job. Eventually we added rabbits, dogs, and a wonderful daughter to our lives. We bought a condo just outside of Boston, but we grew tired of the cost of living, commutes, and snow. Oh, that endless winter snow!!!
We recently moved to the Tampa, FL area and are loving it. Our house is currently under construction. I can’t wait to move in and share all about our process of decorating it.
