A few weeks ago, while Autumn was on VPK Thanksgiving break, we headed over to Disney Springs with my friend Aliya and her 2 kids for a day. We all wanted to check out the Christmas Tree Trail!
The Christmas Tree Trail started in 2016 and since then has grown with more trees. There are so many beautiful ornaments, lights, garlands, and tree toppers. So many perfect photo ops because there is something cute and magical everywhere you look!

Shortly after arriving in Disney Springs, we grabbed lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. It’s a great spot for families because there are plenty of delicious options for kids and adults. The kids all enjoyed their pasta kids’ meals, while my friend and I enjoy their seared tuna tacos. Besides the food, the kids loves the animatronic animals all around. You can’t beat it when the kids are happily distracted and enjoying yummy food. Everything was amazing. Even the cocktails!

Then we headed over to the Christmas Tree Trail!
Visiting the Christmas Tree Trail was the perfect way to spend a fun afternoon with friends. They kids had fun checking out the different trees, then picking their favorites, and then their new favorites. The kids eagerly took photos in front of them. So many funny poses!

Mickey and Minnie Mouse kicked things off for the trail. Then Mickey’s pal Pluto had the next tree, that was decorated with dog toys and bones. From there, there was tree after tree of fun Disney characters.
Even Hunter got into the action of taking pictures. He had been watching the kids take group pictures and he wanted to join in. He hopped out of the stroller, walked up to the tree, turned around and shuffled back as he found the perfect spot for me to take his picture. Oh my heart.
Oh, these two girls!
I really value the friendships that I have made since moving down from Massachusetts to Florida. It sorta was a scary move- picking up our lives and not knowing anyone (besides parents in FL), but I quickly met some great friends. Thankfully, we all have kids in the same age range so it makes hanging out extra special. The kids have fun together and we all do too. Can’t beat that!
Autumn was pretending her wand was a light saber!
There are over 25 trees, with themes like Star Wars, Toy Story, Mulan, and Robin Food. Each one incorporates various things from the movies and characters they are based upon. There are also several ornaments that are hung on the trees that can be purchased in the shops in Disney Springs.
Getting to spend the day with our kids was the best. They even (sometimes) cooperated with some nice pictures. ha!
The last tree of the trail was dedicated to the Four Parks. It was a great ending to the trail- reminding us what we love about going to Disney World.
After wandering Disney’s Christmas Tree Trail, we did some ornament browsing, talked of our dreams of having big Disney themed trees in our houses. Aliya got a new pair of Mickey ears, and then found a spot for the kids to get a sweet treat.
We stopped for some gelato. Oh boy! Hunter LOVED it. I got a few licks of mine before he stole the rest of my canoli gelato. He was hooked! And messy!
The kids were worn out and crashed on the way home. It was a great day for all of us!
