The St. John Town Center Sheraton Hotel, located in Jacksonville, FL, is a beautiful hotel that has everything you need for an overnight or a week long stay.
Jacksonville Florida is a wonderful city to visit year round with fun activities that the whole family can enjoy. The Sheraton Jacksonville Hotel is a great option for your stay.
My family had the pleasure of staying at the Sheraton Jacksonville Hotel in February 2021 while on a media trip arranged by Visit Jax. While my stay was complimentary, all opinions are honest and my own.
The Sheraton Jacksonville Hotel is conveniently located for travelling families and business professionals. It is just a quick 10 miles from downtown Jacksonville. There are many shops, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby.
The very close location to St John’s Shopping Center is a huge plus. We had great options for dining and shopping within minutes of the hotel. Our kids were thrilled that Mini Bar Donuts were located directly across the street from the hotel. Getting custom made donuts first thing in the morning was fun and special.
Guest Room- 2 Queen Beds
The hotel offers a variety of rooms – 2 bed room, a king sized bed, or an executive suite with a big comfy king. You can even book these great rooms with points.
The clean rooms offer enough space for a 4-person family with room to spare. The queen sized beds are basically clouds! They are thick and comfortable to crash into after your day of exploring.
Large storage units make it easy to organize your clothes and belongings. The armoire also holds the safe and the iron for wrinkle free clothes for your important business meetings.
Keep drinks and snacks cold in the mini fridge. Prefer hot coffee? Then brew some Starbucks. It is so nice to wake to the filled the room with fresh coffee aroma. After that, you will be ready for a great day!
Overall, there is plenty of space in the room as it is large and well planned with a full service amenity station. Beyond the armoire and mini fridge is the large TV and a desk.
Our kids loved getting to watch cartoons right from bed. The desk was also a great place for drawing pictures and flipping through our brochures. They provided a welcome, calm distraction for the kids while we got ready for the busy day ahead.
The large bathroom opens up with double doors directly off the room entry. It provides clear visibility to the room so everyone can be heard and seen easily. Perfect for little ones needing some help while getting ready.
The bathroom featured a very clean tub and large vanity. The vanity was outfitted with a large, lit magnifying mirror. Great for getting your make up just right or checking your shave.
You can also request an accessible version with roll in shower.
Our trip and stay at the Sheraton Jacksonville Hotel was so much fun! We enjoyed everything we saw and did throughout the city. Most of all, it was wonderful to have a great room to come back at the end of the day. Can’t beat enjoying some Insomnia Cookies cuddled up in bed!
Indoor Pool
Our afternoon playing in the heated in-door pool was an undeniably fun way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Located at the end of hall way right off the lobby, the in-door pool offers year round play and exercise.
The pool is large and deep enough for play and laps. The pool features the ability to turn on set a swim jet to add resistance to your laps giving you a great workout.
The kids loved seeing the bubbles and walking around on the ledge. Not to mention, they were worn out after their swim.
Fitness Center
Besides getting your laps in, you can work out in the fitness center. Enjoy some cardio or weights with a view right of the pool. You’ll love the flexibility you have using the fitness center because it is open 24 Hours, 7 days a week.
With many TVs and enough equipment for plenty of people, the gym did not feel crowded for a morning work out.
Also, the finishes and graphics made the gym feel modern and upscale.
Covid Safety
COVID safety was paramount to the staff. Every surface was well cleaned and every employee was wearing a mask. Furthermore, signs were located around the hotel advising everyone that mask wearing was a requirement in all public areas.
We felt very safe and aware that people were paying attention to health and safety concerns even during the height of a pandemic.
From the moment we walked in, we knew we were welcomed at this great hotel. Obviously, we enjoyed the room, pool, and gym, but we were just as impressed with the hotel as a whole. The lobby was well-equipped with a convenience store, restaurant, and business center. There also are 5 large meeting rooms, which makes this hotel perfect for business meetings and events.
Consider staying at the Sheraton in Jacksonville the next time you are visiting because you will find a great hotel to satisfy all your needs.
