I’ll do a weekly bump update so I can look back and see how things progress and what was happening at various points along the way.
I had an hour long ultrasound session this past Wednesday afternoon. It’s so weird/cool/surreal/amazing to see The Bean moving all around in there. Also, so cool to see how much s/he has grown since the last scan I had a few weeks ago. The US tech was really nice during the scan talking us through what we were looking at on the TV on the wall and what she was doing. Mainly she was taking measurements and checking out everything to making sure it looked good and was growing right on track- which it is. When she was trying to take measurements for The Bean’s arms and The Bean was not having it at all so those arms were moving ALL OVER THE PLACE. Plus at one point we saw it give a huge yawn… adorable!!
So, I’m most likely having a C-section- I’ll explain later. It’s still to be confirmed but we started to talk about the process with the Dr on Wednesday. Well, I’ve seen my share of Baby Story episodes and what not so I know what to expect but Price has had NO experience related to births, esp C-sections. Do you get where I’m going with this? Well, I did him a favor and showed him a video of C-section. Oh man, I wish I had a video camera on him to capture that reaction. I was almost in tears from laughing so hard at him.
We’ve decided on the theme for the baby’s room, which I’ll share soon, so I’ve been having fun looking up tons of stuff on Etsy for little touches to make it just perfect. Nothing has been purchased yet but just itching to get all over it all. So much fun.
19 Week Bump Update
Current Due Date: 12/1/13
Weight Gain: According to that evil scale at the DR on Wed I am up 2lb from my pre-pregnancy weight
Stretch Marks: nope
Belly Button: umm, still cool
Clothing: still no maternity stuff but I’m starting to look online to get some ideas of what to get soon
Cravings/Aversions: we went to the grocery store on the 4th and walked past a bulk candy bin… oh dear lord… I wanted to get 15 pounds of gummy candy. I’m not a big candy person but I wanted it ALL. I caved and got a 1/2 pound that Price and I split.
Sleep: Getting really pissed off at myself whenever I wake up on my stomach. It’s just too damn hot to have 2 people in bed plus a massive pillow. I’ll cave soon tho.
Mood: pretty indifferent to everything.
Movement: starting to feel some movement at night
Milestones: nothing I can really think of
What I miss: besides booze, not carrying around a water bottle 24/7. Where is my free hand anymore?
What I am looking forward to: shopping for some maternity clothes

hahaha! Spencer actually passed out after seeing my c-section. He’s never passed out but as soon as they pulled the baby out, he was on the floor. Don’t tell him I told you! 😛 You look great! I can’t believe you’re 19 weeks already!
