I felt pretty dang proud of myself for thinking of the pretty genius idea of taking a cheesecake and putting an apple pie on it. I should apply for Mensa! (Yeah, I see you rolling your eyes at me…)
But really, it an easy, fun way to jazz up a cheesecake with a delicious topping. Of course, you can crack open a can of apple pie filling, but this is so much better than that. The texture is better as it has been baked so it’s thicker and richer. Plus, the delicious Dutch Apple Pie crumbly topping makes it beautiful.
