Harvest Spiced Punch

Oh man, Thanksgiving was awesome this year!!

We really enjoyed our 4-day weekend!! It was great to relax, spend time with family and friends, and, of course, eat great food and drink awesome drinks.

I made this Harvest Spiced Punch with the Harvest Spiced Red Blend from Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi with us to our Thanksgiving celebration at my sister-in-law’s house.

Plus, I brought the cutest aprons with us too!

All of this fun cheer was because of Robert Mondavi. Yes!!!

I love sangria so I was eager to give this Harvest Spiced Punch a try. And I gotta say I really liked it. We all really liked it. That pitcher was dry by the end of the night.

 

The rich, wine blend is perfect on its own at room temperature, chilled in this punch, or warmed as a mulled wine.

Plus, it just looks pretty.

This would be awesome to make for a holiday party as you can make a really big batch by doubling or tripling it. It will make your party prep and time really enjoyable as making the punch is very quick and then you don’t have to worry about making drinks for your guest during the party. It’s fantastic when you can sit back and relax during your own party, no!?!

Lastly, it’s really affordable too!! Bottles are $5.99-7.99 making this punch very affordable for a large crowd. Save some money for your gift giving!

My mom is coming up before Christmas so I know I’ll be making a batch for us to enjoy during her visit.

Or we can just toss a bottle in a pot with cinnamon sticks, orange slices and cloves to warm for a cozy mulled wine.

It was fun taking this picture with my Mother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law, in our aprons from the Woodbridge Harvest Wine Set, a limited-edition kitchen set including a matching apron, pot holder, and wine tote. I jokingly put it on him but he actually enjoyed it as he pointed out that it was a nice thick canvas material, as opposed to some other aprons are just thin cotton. He liked how this felt like it has some substance to it.

Harvest Spiced Punch

Makes 1 very large pitcher

Ingredients

• 2 750 mL bottles Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Harvest Spiced Red Blend
• 1 Cup orange liqueur
• 1 Cup fresh orange juice
• 1/2 Cup pomegranate juice
• 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
• 4 cinnamon sticks
• 1 orange, ends cut off, then sliced into 5 rounds
• 1 lemon, ends cut off, then sliced into 5 rounds
• Seeds from 1/2 a medium pomegranate

Process

1. Combine the wine, orange liqueur, orange juice, pomegranate juice, lemon juice and cinnamon sticks in a large punch bowl or pitcher. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
2. Just before serving, add the orange and lemon slices, and sprinkle the pomegranate seeds over top. 
3. Serve over ice, and enjoy!
