Traveling with babies doesn’t have to be tricky when you plan and pack well. This “Ultimate Weekend Away Packing List for Babies and Toddlers” printable packing list will help you prepare and have a great time on your weekend away.
We love traveling with our kids.
It can be just visiting family or on a trip – near or far.
We have done it so often that I have mastered the art of packing for our kids. (And our dogs, but that’s another story)
I can pack for an other night or for a week. Now, I can do it efficiently, with nailing the right amount of stuff needed for that time, not forgetting anything, or over packing.
I hate over packing! It just takes up really valuable space. I would rather need to re-wear something than come home from a trip with clean clothes. It’s just a pet peeve of mine. So I have studied how well I have packed from a trip and have worked on getting better at it every time.
This past spring included plenty of weeks and weekends away.
First we went on a 5-night Caribbean cruise, then I stayed at my mom’s house with the kids several times while she recovered from a major foot surgery. So I packed for near and far and for 2-7 nights at a time. I am a full fledged PRO now.
I love trips of all lengths, but the weekend away is the best way to enjoy some time away, without coming back and needing another vacation. At least you come home needing to do a load of laundry vs the 5 that are magically needed after a week away. Laundry math is fuzzy.
The Weekender Bag from Baby K’tan is the best bag for that weekend away. It’s perfectly sized to hold everything that you need for your infant or toddler. Or you could steal it for yourself and get a weekend away while the grandparents watch the kids. Just sayin’!
The bag is large enough for clothes & gear that is needed for your little one.
Besides being large enough to hold a 14″ wide laptop, in it’s padded laptop pocket, it is full of other helpful compartments (9 total!) to keep things well organized.
The bag comes with an antibacterial changing pad, which is a must for changing diapers on the go. It’s very useful and it’s antimicrobial nylon helps to prevent the growth of germs and wipes down easily. And for those diaper changes, there is a built-in wipes pocket that makes for easy access wipes.
There are 2 antibacterial nylon bags in the Weekender Bag. One is for small items like pacifiers, nipples, and infant utensils, and the other for clothing or shoes that are wet. Very useful.
Another really useful pocket is the extra-large cooler pocket that will keep your items like bottles, baby food, yogurt, snacks and more nicely chilled while you travel.
The super stylish Weekender Bag is exactly what you need for your nice weekend away as a family.
