Dancing the Day Away at the Disney Junior Dance Party!

The Disney Junior Dance Party is a fun musical celebration that gets you dancing along with Timon, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Mickey! Hot dog!

Thank you to Disney for inviting me to spend a a wonderful day in Hollywood Studios checking out the Disney Junior Dance Party!

Disney invited my family to attend a really fun event to check out the newly opened Disney Junior Dance Party. It is targeted to preschool age kids, so it was perfect for our family to enjoy the chance to dance around with out favorite Disney Junior characters.

Disney Junior Dance Party is a fun interactive performance for kids. They are encouraged to get on their feet and dance around with DJ Deejay and Finn Fiesta. Fun Disney Junior characters teach kids dances featuring their favorite songs from their shows. It’s a blast!

We were so excited to get to check out the Disney Junior Dance Party, so we hit the road early to miss the rush hour traffic. Thankfully, we got to Hollywood Studios nice and early for a full day of fun.

Disney Junior Dance Party

Located in Animation Courtyard, the Disney Junior Dance Party is a great interactive show for preschool age kids. If you kid likes Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and the Lion Guard, then they will have a blast.

Autumn loves them all so she had an awesome time singing and dancing to songs with DJ Deejay and Finn Fiesta. She followed along with the dance moves that they did with each character.

There is a special kind of happiness when you see your kid’s face light up with joy. When the bubbles fell from the sky the kids both lit up as it just felt so magical. Plus, it’s always so fun just to jump up and down to get bubbles. I love that I get to witness that with my kids when I go to Disney.

Take your kids to the Disney Junior Dance Party, they will have a wonderful time!

We Love Toy Story Land

After enjoying the Disney Junior Dance Party, we headed over to Toy Story Land.

Autumn’s favorite ride in Hollywood Studios is Slinky Dog Dash, so we always beeline it right over to there. We are all provided 5 FastPass+ that we can use anywhere, at any time, so we use most of them on riding that several times.

I rode Slinky Dog Dash with Autumn once, but then she talked Price into it.

That is a really big deal as he doesn’t do fast rides like that. He has a really sensitive stomach so he can get queasy really easily. Of course, he would try anything for Autumn, so he gave it a go. He looked iffy for a moment when he got off, but he admitted to it being enjoyable.

Snack Time at Woody’s Lunch Box

We enjoyed sharing both the Chocolate-Hazelnut Lunch Box Tart ($4.29) and the Raspberry Lunch Box Tart ($4.29).

And when you are at Disney, it’s never too early for a cocktail! I mean 10.45am is a perfectly good time for a Grown-Up’s Lemonade ($10.25). ha!

Voyage of The Little Mermaid

The 11.15 show for the Voyage of the Little Mermaid was about to start when we passed by the theater, so we decided to try that.

It was a fun show to watch featuring animation, actors, and puppets. The show is just 15 minutes long, I felt it should have been longer as a good chunk of the story was just told through animation. My favorite part was the puppetry that uses Japanese theater techniques, so I wanted more of that vs just watching some movie clips on the screen.

I love anything related to The Little Mermaid, so it was a great experience.

After enjoying that we wandered around a bit, checking out stores. Hunter was so worn out from the busy morning he fell asleep in his stroller.

Lunch at The Dockside Diner

Before we knew it, it was time for lunch!

We went to the Dockside Diner for lunch because Hunter was snoozing then. We didn’t want to disturb him by trying to get a sit down meal or to bring him inside a place, like Backlot Express.

Our typical strategy for meals is to split things. It’s economical and it leaves us room to enjoy some snacks. The kids split a foot long hot dog, while Price and I shared a Loaded Chili-Cheese Nachos ($10.99). There was plenty of chips for us since they were piled high with chili and served with Guacamole, Pico de Gallo and Sour Cream.

Autumn enjoyed a Minute Maid® Frozen Lemonade ($4.99) while Price and I split a Kahlúa and Cream Milkshake ($13.25, a chocolate milkshake with Kahlúa and Baileys Irish Cream. I highly suggest it, and I highly suggest splitting it since it’s so rich.

After lunch, Autumn and I watched the 1pm Beauty and the Beast- Live on Stage show.

I loved every bit of it! The whole production was perfect from the dancing, singing, and costumes. It was a 25 minutes long, which felt right, compared to the shorter show we saw earlier. This did a great job of telling the whole Beauty and the Beast story with the signature musical numbers we know and love.

Slinky Dog Dash Again and Again!

Because Autumn likes to torture Price, they went on Slinky Dog Dash again.

And then they did it AGAIN!

Walt Disney Presents

While Price and Autumn ride Slinky Dog Dash, Hunter and I explored the Walt Disney Presents Gallery and Exhibits.

Walt’s creative process was on full display for everyone to see how he developed his characters and how the Disney world has transformed and expanded over time. It was so fun to walk through all that history.

One of my best friends used to work at Disney. She worked there for about 10 years and during half that time she was a state performer, even performing in the Beauty and the Beast show. As well, she was Mary Poppins!

I texted her, offering to steal the dress for her, she said she would pay my bail money. hahahaha!

It’s time for a Snack!

I discovered that one of the best snack credits in Hollywood Studios is the funnel cake from the Oasis Canteen. The Funnel Cake with Cookies ‘n Cream and Soft-serve Vanilla Ice Cream ($8.49). It was

The signature Mickey Ears Ice Cream Bar ($5) is a must get when you are at Disney. The kids nicely split one of these.

It was time for another fun drink as well!

The Dreamsicle Float ($12.75) is a orange soda spiked with Stoli Vanil Vodka and topped with a big pile of vanilla soft serve. I don’t normally drink soda (it’s basically been years with the except for some ginger beers) but this was a fun treat to have.

We don’t really get souvenirs but I can’t resist a good pair of Minnie Ears. I love these ice cream ones but I’m always on the look out for my next pair!

Meeting Donald Duck

On our way out of the park, we saw a character meet for Donald Duck.

We got his signature and a great picture with him. Hunter was really excited to meet him, until he actually met him. ha!

Meeting Daisy

Right next to Donald is the spot to meet Daisy. There are 2 queues to meet them, one for each. As soon as we finished meeting Donald, we headed over to get in line to meet Daisy.

It was so fun to watch Autumn and Daisy interacting together. She was so excited to meet Daisy!
