Since I have been spending a dumb amount of time looking up Harlem Shake Meme videos I can say that there are some fantastic versions out there that this is the best one ever.
THE BEST DAMN HARLEM SHAKE VIDEO EVER!!
Try to top that.

This is the first 5 day work week I have had in about a month. It is painful! ha 🙂
I woke up in a happy mood because the week was over and then it all went away when I turned on the news and learned over the shooting in CO. I’m listening to CNN on Sirius now. So devastating and disgusting.
I had my first shellac manicure before the cruise and I brought some gear (nail polish & UV light) to do it at home since I loved it so much since it lasted so well. I hope doing it myself works well- keep ya’ posted!
Relationships are a lot of work and require a lot of communication and understanding. Can’t ever forget that.
The Cheerfully Charmed statement necklaces I ordered arrived this week. Couldn’t resist getting 3 bubble necklaces for about 1/2 the price of 1 J.Crew bubble necklace. Love a fun knock off!
Was so nice to have Catherine and Tom visit for dinner on Wednesday.
I have not been scrapbooking as much as I want to. And I have not been posting anything on the blog in too long. It is driving me crazy. I hope to fix this situation asap!
We bought tickets to go to Phoenix for Thanksgiving so we can visit Price’s Dad.
I think I want a right hand ring. I found this incredible brushed gold one. Saving pennies now 🙂
Trying to keep the ‘The Freakin’ Never Ending To Do List’ for the weekend to just a few things like hanging up some hooks, steaking up the tomatoes, watching DVR’d Hatfields and McCoys, and having a great surprise date day on Sunday.

So while Price and I were at Polly’s Pancake House for a great breakfast, I spotted some bees attacking some lady elsie may rose bushes. My affinity towards bees has nothing to do with my blog name. I just love what they provide the world. They work their little buzzing asses off to pollinate flowers and as a result make the world a beautiful place. Let’s not forget the delightfully delicious honey.
So whenever I have a chance I snap a few photos of bees in action. Typically I have to perfectly time my photo as they are whirling around my head and hopping from flower to flower. Well, not this time. I stood around for 5 minutes watching this little bee on a mission to cover every single part of his body with pollen. I could barely distinguish his little legs apart as they were so completely covered. We left before I could see him fly away but I wish I could have see that brightly yellow speck trying to fly with all that extra pollen weight on him.

I took today off to go to Brimfield. Can’t wait to share what I get!

I took this photo last Friday. I think it is my favorite photo I have recently taken on my iphone. It makes me love living in/close to a city. Boston does not compare to ‘The City’ (New York) to me but that is okay. As much as I have been here for almost 9 years I am constantly learning to live with what it’s got. It has a lot of history, charm, rough edges*, and beautiful things to experience all over. I think that buying a house in Chelsea has opened up my eyes to the things I see around me, esp in Boston. We’re stuck with each other for a while now we we better figure out how to work together harmoniously. So I’ve been trying to do more in Boston, and New England in general, like new restaurants to try, history to learn about, adventures to take, and places to discover. So far, so good!
That being said, I’ve fled Beantown with Pricer & we are currently on a short cruise up to Canaidia. It’s nice to get away for the weekend. Right now we should be be relaxing with a drink by the pool as this scheduled post is published. Maybe watching demonstrations on how to carve ice sculptures. I’ll be missing the buns ears perk up when they see me come in to feed them, but at least they are relaxing in their AC’d room & getting good care from my coworker. I’ll be hoping that my extensive watering of the plants was enough for the 90+ heat passing through this weekend. But mostly I’ll be trying to tune off my mind and relax!
Hope you have a great weekend!
*one thing that will never change is my deep down twitching reaction to the ‘Boston’ accent. I can promise you that!

Have you read the 50 Shades trilogy? If you have not heard of it you have clear been living under a rock for the last few months. I won’t judge that harshly. So if you read it… did you like it? hate it? could not have cared less about it? could not put it down?
I fell along the lights of being indifferent to it but not being able to put the books down. For real- glued to my hands. The writing is garbage. I feel like it would be a great drinking game. For every time a ‘twitchy palm’, ‘fithy shades’ ‘Mr Grey’, ‘Mrs. Grey’ is said take a god damn drink! You would not be able to get a chapter without alcohol poisoning!!
Now that the movie rights have been secured there is a lot of talk about who will be cast in this porn movie. Who will play Christian? Who will play Anastasia? I’ve read that Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd says he was ‘born to play Christian’. Whatevers. He is 36 and looks 36 to me. Christian is 27. Nice try, stick to True Blood. If Kristen I-can’t-close-my-mouth Stewart is cast as Ana I will burn down Hollywood.
So without further adieu, my casting couch picks for Fifty Shades…

I hope that who ever plays these roles does a good job and has a fun time with adapting the books into a porn movie.
You have not read them then I suggest you pick them up…
Fifty Shades of Grey: Book One of the Fifty Shades Trilogy
Fifty Shades Darker: Book Two of the fifty Shades Trilogy
Fifty Shades Freed: Book Three of the Fifty Shades Trilogy
or you can just by the 3 volume set…
Who do you think should play these roles?

This morning I brought the contractors I work with on my big project a cake to celebrate the end of Phase 2. I have made things plenty of things in the past but I wanted this cake to be a double whammy so I doubled the recipe and resulting in 4 layers and lots of chocolate buttercream frosting. Sad I forgot to take a picture of it. whomp!
Well, while I was making the cake I did manage to pull out the camera, but I did have a good reason…
I know that double yolks are not that rare in the grand scheme of things but I have not come across one in years and years. Plus they are supposed to be good luck. Or maybe bad,  depends on how you look at things. I’ll thinking glass half full so I’m going with good luck!!!
Hope you have a great weekend. 🙂

Last Thursday night, Price and I went to Arnold Worldwide‘s headquarter’s for a fun networking event. It was centered around ‘The World’s First Social Beer Vending Machine‘. Â It was a fun event that allowed us to meet some great people, enjoy some burritos provided by Boloco, and beer provided by the vending machine and other sponsors.
What is Arnold? Well, Arnold is a advertising agency (don’t think Mad Men!). You know their work if you watch TV or flip open a magazine. Those Progressive ads with Flo, the funny cranberry guys for Ocean Spray, and the sip worthy Southern Comfort ads (I <3 SoCo) are all from Arnold. Check out their work, it’s really quite amazing.
Besides their ad work, they have a lab that they use to develop different ideas and technologies that can be used towards different applications, even their ad work. This ‘Gifinator’ creates Gif’s of people moving and interacting in front of it, which are then sent to you later. One of the creators was explaining the process to us, how it was developed, and has been evolving overtime as it is put to use in different fun social settings.
The whole premise of the event was about ‘Make Shit’. Basically do something, create something. And that is exactly what Arnold did.. they created a beer vending machine. Besides the fact that it dispenses beer it is very interactive telling your about the beer, even creating an account to know what you like based upon your selection. Pretty cool right? Well, it doesn’t stop there… they made the beer!
Now if only my office could get one of these!

What would possess someone to do this to their nails?
I saw this on the train this morning and I could not resist taking a photo and then tweeting about it. natch.
It looked like a DIY job, like with a press on nail kit. I certainly hope it was because paying for that would make this whole situation worse.

While the weather was absolute crap today I did venture out for lunch. Normally, I would just stay inside and eat (gross-ish) basement cafe food but there are times that getting your feet soaked (because you wore sandals- let’s blame it on not being able to find anything in the move & not because you are moronic & stubborn, shall we) and have a fun lunch hour.
Well I spent my lunch hour at the Top Chef Tour!! My scrapbooking buddy Emily invited me and I jumped at the chance to do something fun. It should be noted that I have never ever seen a second of Top Chef prior to my trip to visit Amanda. So I don’t know the history, drama, or winners of the seasons but it was so much fun regardless of my cluelessness. <- let’s pretend that is a word
The chefs having involved in the tour at this stop were Tiffani Faison and Hosea Rosenberg. I knew of Tiffani (Seasons 1 & 8) because she was the hometown competitor. Also she opened a restaurant late last year called Sweet Cheeks Q by Fenway park and I have heard a lot of great things about it. While Hosea was the winner of Season 5, he was a new face too me.
NOM NOM NOM!!!
The chefs each had to create a dish using clams. They had 10 ingredients to choose from (I wish I remembered them- sorry!) to use as well as having a wild card ingredient to select. They were limited to 12 minutes as well! Umm I can’t even boil water in that time!!
Tiffani prepared her clam with peas, asparagus, and leaks with a clam broth. The clam was topped with a foam that she created with soy lecithin, which was her wildcard ingredient. Her dish was very clean, flavorful, and let the ingredients speak for themselves.
Hosea used a ‘fancy’ white bread as his wild card ingredient, which he used as a base for a polenta crusted fried clam. There was a sauce and slaw on top of the clam. It reminded me a dressed up clam roll.
My favorite was Hosea’s dish because of the texture, flavors, and it I am a sucker for a great sauce.
After they cooked they answered audience questions about the show including judging, competitions, and canoodling with other competitors. They shared stories and it was a lot of fun. It was really refreshing that they were to laid back and really honest about their experiences.
Prior to the start of the cooking competition, Chef Jasper White of Summer Shack fame and two selected audience members to judge the food the competitors would make. They sat between the 2 cooking stations. They tried the food that they chefs prepared right there while the rest of the audience was provided with food that was made behind the scenes. They selected a winner… Hosea!
The tour is still in Boston tomorrow so be sure to swing by Fanieul Hall to see if you can get a walk-in spot! Have fun!!

is any wine you drink while watching Cougar Town!!!
I’m serious. Pull out a bottle of 2 Buck Chuck or whatever you have on hand and pour yourself a BIG glass of wine to enjoy while you watch.
Price and I are HUGE fans of the show. We started watching it because of my obsession with all things Friends related, including the fabulous Courtney Cox. It has been such a blast to watch it from the beginning to get invested in the characters and everything else involved.* We love all the characters (except we HATED Kristen… she was annoying and she killed Big Joe!!), story lines, jokes, and the amount of wine consumed.
The break between season 2 and 3 was excruciating! The 3rd season of CT was push from premiering in Nov 2011 to Feb 2012 all for that shit show call Man Up! to waste everyone’s time (it was canceled after 8 episodes). February finally rolled around, and to celebrate the 3rd seasoning premier and Valentine’s Day I bought us the most amazing wine classes to have our own ‘Big Joe’ glasses.*8 I named mine Lovely Lola. 🙂
Well during a work party we discovered my boss also watches Cougar Town so I ordered her glass. Well, that prompted this series of photos that I took during a recent Friday afternoon ‘buzz’ in the office since she didn’t really believe it can hold a bottle of wine. Well it does!!!!
Ta-da!! A whole bottle is in there!!
For reference, this is what a whole bottle of wine looks like in a pitcher.
Also, to compare its size, we poured a ‘typical’ glass of wine in a normal glass, then we poured that into the big glass…
*Truthfully, the show took some time to develop and find itself – hence why the show title doesn’t make sense now- but then found its groove and things got out of control from there. So if you didn’t love it when it first started you should give it a try again!! You can catch up on episodes on Hulu.
**The glasses we purchased are not the exact ‘Big Joe’ glass on CT. The Riedel Sommeliers Burgundy Grand Cru is the exact glass but sells for $105. We picked the more affordable DCI XL Wine Glass  for $10ish. I highly suggest that you order your own massive glasses and enjoy Cougar Town!!!!!
Cougar Town is on ABC and airs at 8.30pm. Steal the remote from your kids… Glee is crap now anyway.
Highlight of my day…
So there I am just standing on City Hall plaza waiting for lunch from Lobsta Love. I was freezing my butt off because I was originally just running some jobs over to the job site and didn’t grab my coat. Well, I order and turn around…
see this lovely face!! I instantly knew that I had to meet this corgi and take some pictures to send to Emily. Emily is a hardcore corgi addict. How can you blame her? These guys are just so adorable! She loves them as much as I love french bulldogs. ZOMG! their squishy faces! So irresistible! Anyway…
Well, as luck would have it his owner told me that this guy was in fact the background to Corgi Addict. Umm corgi in a lobster suit in a pot. Hell ya! It was just so serendipitous since I was waiting in line at Lobsta Love food truck. Well, this guy’s name is Edison and he likes to eat snowballs.
Edison was so adorable. I didn’t realize that I had my phone on video at first so I think he was a little confused with my holding it in face for it bit while trying to take a photo. He did not approve.
I snapped one last picture before they headed off. Such a lovely dog 🙂
What are you up to this weekend?
We are busy with packing and finishing up misc things for our house closing on Monday(!) and meeting up with Pricer’s mom for her birthday.
